   These historic London “Cabbie shelters” resemble the backyard sheds found throughout suburban and rural New York . They are built locally off-site and trailered to delivery site. It would seem that they could be designed to be compatible with local architectural features, and could be placed in an end-of-block parking space. A trial period of 90 days could be funded. If the location doesn’t work, they can be quickly moved to another city location, or if they really don’t work, they could be sold out of the borough or city.

     Thanks for this, we’re big fans of The Gentle Author. It would seem perfect other than the fact that New York City wants to “transform existing city infrastructure…” I don’t believe they are looking to build new structures but you never know what can happen in the future.-Josette
